I have some sad news to share. William Anders, the former Apollo 8 astronaut who took the iconic "Earthrise" photo, has died in a plane crash at the age of 90. The crash occurred off the coast of the San Juan Islands in Washington state. Anders was the only person on board the aircraft.

Anders was a key figure in the Apollo 8 mission, which was the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon. His contributions to space exploration and his famous photograph will always be remembered.
